What could be better than making pasta in Italy?!?! Well, eating it was pretty awesome….but we had so much fun in the kitchen with Alfredo.
**Side note: If you visit Spoleto the Palazzo Dragoni is THE place to stay.
Before we get started making pasta, Alfredo prepares our meat for dinner and gets it on the fire.
Just fire and wood…no temperature settings, no timer. This is how it’s done in a palazzo that dates back to the mid 1500’s. Well, I think open fire cooking is still done in many Italian kitchens.

Pasta Time!
First you make a well with your flour.
Then you take your egg….
Add a little oil and mix with a fork….
And then you cut…
And tada! You have fresh pasta that is going to taste oh so yummy!
After making the pasta we stuffed zucchini flowers with this delicious cheese mixture.
Not really, we just all have too much fun together.
And then Alfredo showed us how to make some chocolate delight for dessert.
Then you celebrate your kitchen adventures with a high five.
And you sing some opera!
Then we got all dressed up and had this wonderful dinner, but that is another post. **I apologize for the overuse of the word “then.” 🙂
